Barbaros Docks Off Famagusta Port
The Barbaros vessel that was conducting seismic research illegally in Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone, docked off the occupied Famagusta port yesterday evening, according to the Turkish-Cypriot news portal Yeni Duzen.
As reported by the paper, an official statement concerning the ship's questionable departure from Cyprus was not granted. Republican Turkish Party-United Forces General Secretary Kutlay Erk stated that recent occurrences are heading in the right direction, regarding negotiations between the two territories.
Erk claimed that Greek-Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiades should resume his participation in UN-authorized discussions. The General Secretary also expressed his doubts regarding Turkish-Cypriot chief Dervis Eroglu.
