Cypriot Unemployment Rate Drops
The amount of registered unemployed Cypriots dropped in May to 40,876, resulting in a 9.1% decrease, compared to the same month last year.
The Cyprus Statistical Service confirmed that June brought the fourteenth consecutive month that the yearly jobless rate experienced a drop. The reduced unemployment figure is a result of additional hires in the financial, insurance, construction, trade, labor, and manufacturing fields.
In the financial and insurance sector a decline of 793 occurred, the construction sector experienced a 1.292 individual unemployment drop, the trade sector decreased by 779 individuals, the labor field felt a 703 decline, while the manufacturing field resulted in a 666 person decrease, as reported by Parikiaki.
