The United Nations Security Council held an open debate entitled, "Maintaining International Peace and Security: Reflect on History, Reaffirm the Strong Commitment to the Purposes and Principles of the Charter of the United Nations."

Greek Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos participated in yesterday's United Nations Security Council meeting, on the resolution adoption of foreign terrorist fighters.

In a unanimous decision yesterday, the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 2168, that continues the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus mandate, until January 31, 2015.
