Attorney Amal Alamuddin & Prime Minister Samaras Plan Parthenon Marbles Meetings

The British-based lawyer is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras to discuss legal angles the nation can administer, concerning its fight to regain their Marbles.  The Hellenic artifacts are currently under British control and displayed at the British Museum.

The two lawyers are planning to stay in the capital until Thursday and will advise other Greek delegates, including Culture Minster Costas Tasoulas, according to their law firm Doughty Street Chambers. The two legal experts were initially sought out for the case back in 2011.

During the time, archeologist David Hill who serves as the chair for the International Association for the Reunification of the Parthenon Marbles, called on attorney Norman Palmer whose concentration is cultural heritage issues, to determine the country's legal alternatives.

Palmer then began collaborations with Robertson, after the two successfully ensured that Aborigine remnants returned from London's Natural History Museum to Australia, as reported by Kathimerini. Last winter, Alamuddin's new husband, actor George Clooney, voiced his support for the return of the Parthenon Marbles to Athens, which drew even more attention to the matter.
