The presence of Greek seafarers in the maritime regions of the Middle East remains significant, despite escalating tensions in the area. According to official data from the Ministry of Shipping, dozens of Greek sailors are currently serving on vessels flying the Greek flag.

Greece is standing by Cyprus' side, with Defense Minister Nikos Dendias traveling to the island tomorrow, Tuesday (3/3).

Strict security measures have been implemented in our country due to developments in the Middle East, with an emphasis on targets of American and Israeli interests, as stated by Hellenic Police spokesperson Konstantina Dimoglidou.
