Greece’s real estate sector continues to attract foreign interest, according to the most recent Bank of Greece (BoG) figures, either through the resilient “Golden Visa” program or residents of EU countries interested in retirement or semi-retirement in the country.
Work on 'The Ellinikon' redevelopment project making good progress

Five banks and the Hellenic Bank Association get fined for concerted practice in charges
Five Greek banks, including four systemic ones, along with the Hellenic Bank Association were fined a total of 41.7 million euros by the Competition Commission on Thursday for concerted practice in interbank systems, and payment and electronic transaction services.
Tourism direct contribution to 24 billion euros or 11.5% of GDP in 2022
The direct contribution of tourism to Greece's GDP is estimated to be close to 24 billion euros or 11.5% in 2022, with five regions representing almost 90% of the country's receipts, three of which are purely tourist regions.
