Cruise indutry on course for a new record - Over 5,000 ships dock at Greek ports

Two facts strike cruise industry pundits at this time: the rise in demand for cruises in the Eastern Mediterranean and the large number of ships seeking to make a Greek port of departure.
On a global level, the general image of the cruise industry at the moment is undoubtedly very positive and sends optimistic messages for the future, the president of the Union of Cruise Ship Owners and Shipping Agencies, Giorgos Koumbenas, told NEA newspaper.

Microsoft creates digital skills academy for 250,000 Greek civil servants

A digital skills academy certified by Microsoft is being created by the technology giant in collaboration with the National Center for Public Administration and Self-Government (EKDDA). It is the next step in their existing "alliance", which has already led to the digital training of 4,500 civil servants, accelerating the goal of training a total of 250,000 civil servants by 2025 with resources from the Recovery Fund.

UBS predicts surprise growth at 3% in 2023 and 3.2% in 2024 for Greece

Swiss bank UBS expects a surprising development for the Greek economy in 2023, increasing its forecast for the GDP growth rate to 3% this year (from 2.5% previously) at a time when the average estimate of economists of international organizations and of analysts ranges at a meager 0.6% (against 1.2% by the commission).
