Thessaloniki seafront changes attitudes

Cities by the sea should count themselves lucky as their inhabitants can envisage the infinite in relation to water. Thessaloniki had been walled off from the sea since the 14th century, but again opened up to Thermaikos Bay in the twentieth century.

Second explosion as Sbokos related home

A powerful explosion of an improvised explosive device took place for a second time within two months at a building on the corner of Kolokotronis and Kyprou streets in Nea Erithrea. The building houses restaurant “La Scala” as well as the home of the sister of jailed former general secretary of armaments Yannis Sbokos.
