It is not only the fire that has put Paros in the spotlight in recent days, testing the island, at a time when tourism is in full swing. It is also the overbuilding that residents and organizations of the island are now denouncing, which, combined with the lack of adequate public infrastructure, ultimately threaten to undermine the very tourism product that has catapulted Paros into tourism in recent years.

A French tourist dived into the sea to save a kitten on Paros, according to a post by the island’s Animal Volunteers.
