Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, in coordination with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, is expected to raise to the European Council the issue of the immediate examination and adoption of measures against Turkey, as long as the neighboring country insists on its actions in the Eastern Mediterranean, according to government sources.

All the political parties in Cyprus have condemned in the strongest way the statements made by Britain’s Europe Minister Alan Duncan, who claimed that the Cypriot EEZ is a region who’s sovereignty is in question.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will take part in the summit to be held in Jerusalem, with the participation of the Greek-Cypriot-Israel leaders and the US Secretary of State.
