The armed forces of the Republic of Cyprus and the State of Israel conduct the “Onisilos Gedeon 2019” exercise, from November 18 to 20, in the framework of their annual military cooperation programme, Cyprus’ Ministry of Defence announced on Monday.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides has expressed his satisfaction over the results of a meeting in Washington with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, noting that there was a clear commitment on both sides to strengthen cooperation in various sectors and that the US support towards resuming talks for a Cyprus settlement was important.

Cyprus is beginning the process of revoking citizenship from 26 individuals, including fugitive financier Jho Low, who obtained citizenship through the country’s investment-for-passport program.
