The prolonged outbreak of sheep pox last year is now leaving a visible mark on Greece’s dairy sector, particularly its feta industry. The most significant consequence has been a drop in the volume of sheep’s milk collected by cheesemakers toward the end of 2025—and beyond—resulting in reduced feta production for the current season.

A few days after the renewal of the strategic cooperation between Athens and Paris, Berlin is making a dynamic comeback, with the visit of the German Foreign Minister linked to the effort to strengthen the German presence in the mammoth Greek armaments program.

In a coordinated effort spanning multiple agencies and borders, U.S. authorities have repatriated 26 ancient artifacts to Greece, marking another step in the ongoing fight against the illicit trade in cultural heritage.
