Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Katrougalos and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Thursday stressed the need to further strengthen the already good Greek-Russian relations, at their meeting in St Petersburg held within the framework of the International Economic Forum.

A dinner with Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov concluded a round of meetings held by main opposition New Democracy President Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Moscow on Thursday. Following his meetings in the Russian capital, Mitsotakis made the following statement:

Of a new starting point in Greek-Russian relations spoke Sergei Lavrov in an interview with Greek newspaper "Efimerida ton Syntakton", meaning the meetings of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
