When people realize what the leader of the main opposition, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, proposed in his speech at the Thessaloniki International Fair, they will leave him in his current position, government spokeswoman Olga Gerovasili said on Sunday.

A New Democracy government will implement swiftly the reform program agreed between the country and its lenders along with additional reforms that are needed, party leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in a press conference in Thessaloniki on Sunday, and reiterated his call for snap elections.

"We need to put an end to the over-taxation of households and real economy," main opposition New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Tuesday addressing social partners.
