The decision to assume the Foreign Ministry himself marks his "determination to do whatever possible to guarantee the successful completion of the historic Prespes Agreement," Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said following the resignation of Nikos Kotzias as foreign minister.

Nikos Kotzias has resigned from the post of Foreign Minister, after a row between him and Defense Minister Panos Kammenos that broke out in the cabinmet meeting on Tuesday. 

Revelations of the minutes of the meetings between FYROM politicians on the “Macedonian” name dispute with Greece have sparked harsh criticism against Greek PM Alexis Tsipras.
