Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Friday held talks with European Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Ca?ete, as well as Maltese Minister for Energy and Water Management Joe Mizzi, on the sidelines of a Clean Energy for EU Islands forum held in Chania, Crete.

In one year from now, Greece will have left the memorandum programmes behind it and in that one year the government must carry out its plans for a new Greece, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Wednesday in a message marking the second anniversary of the SYRIZA-ANEL coalition government's election to power.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras told his cabinet on Monday that they are in a race against time to complete the bulk of the pending reforms agreed with the country's creditors by November so that Greece can wrap up the third review of its bailout and stay on course to exit the program in 2018.
