President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos on Sunday sent a message to Turkey to abandon the cruel distortion of history and to respect the sovereignty, the borders, the territory and Greece's exclusive economic zone which is also the borders, the territory and the exclusive economic zone of the European Union during his speech after being pronounced honorary citizen of Pinios municipality.

The Turkish military had prepared to bring back home eight soldiers who fled to Greece in the aftermath of a failed coup in Turkey, secret documents have revealed.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, in an interview with ANT1 on Monday referring to the migration issue, said that Turkey must meet its commitments toward the  international community, while the EU member-states must also assume their share of the burden in dealing with this problem.
