U.S. Vice President Joe Biden's stay in Turkey was met by opposition over the weekend, as approximately 300 people demonstrated in Istanbul while he made his way to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is set to focus on Cyprus as one of his main topics of discussion, during his time in Istanbul with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

A collective letter was penned by the Hellenic American Leadership Council, the National Coordinated Effort of Hellenes, the American Hellenic Institute, UHAC National, PSEKA, the Cyprus Federation of America, the Hellenic Federation of New Jersey and the American Hellenic Council, to Special Adviser of the United Nations Secretary-General on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide over Turkey's most recent Cypriot violations.
