On Saturday, November 3rd, 2018, Christos Stylianides, the European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, visited the ACS Athens campus to observe the classrooms of the Youth-to-Youth (Y2Y) Programs and met with the unaccompanied refugee minors.
Shapiro Foundation offers ACS Athens scholarships to refugee children of The HOME Project
International non-profit organization The HOME Project (www.homeproject.org), which offers shelter and work for children and young refugees in Greece, has announced a first of its kind opportunity to grant 18 full-time scholarships for the American Community School (ACS Athens) during the academic year 2018-2019. This was made possible by The Shapiro Foundation (www.theshapirofoundation.org).
ACS Athens Students Earn Perfect Scores in International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Exams
ACS Athens is always bursting with pride in its students and this summer the renowned Pre-K to 12 international school based in Halandri, a northern suburb of Athens, Greece, is delighted to announce that two of its students earned perfect 45/45 scores in the 2017 International Baccalaureate® (IB) diploma exams.IB is a non-profit educational foundation offering highly respected programs of international education that develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn, and work in a rapidly globalizing world. Schools must be authorized by the IB organization to offer any of the programs.
