Milos is becoming more and more prominent in the publications of the United Kingdom, describing the beauties and the pleasure possibilities of the island. Greece ranks 2nd in the world among 47 countries in terms of blue flags, with 497 award-winning beaches, 14 marinas and 6 tourist boats.

Over 13 tons of garbage were collected by 6,500 volunteers from Greek beaches and the seabed in 145 cleaning operations, HELMEPA (Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association) announced on Friday. The organisation had coordinated the beach clean-ups for 29th year in Greece, in the context of the International Beach Cleaning Volunteer Day.
