Premier Antonis Samaras visited the port of Piraeus on Wednesday for the signing of an agreement between ZTE and COSCO for the establishment of a ZTE European transit center in Piraeus.

An agreement between the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) SA and Piraeus Container Terminal (PCT) SA (owned by Chinese COSCO company), foresees investments worth 230 million euros in the port of Piraeus.

The privatization of the Piraeus Port Authority OLP and issues pertaining to Greek domestic shipping were discussed at a meeting between merchant marine minister Miltiades Varvitsiotis and Troika representatives.
