Greece announced 18 new confirmed coronavirus cases on Wednesday and no new deaths in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry announced on Wednesday evening. 

One factor that has not been adequately analysed and can affect the outcome of COVID-19 are the levels of vitamin D in the population, according to doctors at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Maria Gavriatopoulou, Ioannis Danasis and Thanos Dimopoulos.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday took part in the third video conference of the leaders of countries that addressed the first wave of the pandemic successfully, carrying out a first assessment of the efforts to restart the economy.
