During a July 8th ECOFIN council session, Greek Finance Minister Gikas Hardouvelis voiced his concern, regarding scheduled ECB stress assessments on Hellenic banks.

In Luxembourg today, new Finance minister Gikas Hardouvelis stated that after six difficult years of recession, was "coming into a new era" after the sacrifices of the Greek people.

The first crash test for the new czar of Greek Economy will be held in Luxembourg on 19 and 20 June, with the new Minister to preside at the last Ecofin meeting during the Greek Presidency.
