Turkey has expressed strong objections to the supplementary maritime spatial planning map recently submitted by Greece to the relevant European Union authority. The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson reiterated Ankara’s longstanding claims related to the “Blue Homeland” doctrine, accusing Greece of attempting to use the maritime spatial planning framework to impose “fait accompli” measures.

The new State Budget, submitted to Parliament by Kyriakos Pierrakakis, introduces permanent measures that will provide income support to more than 5 million Greek households. Once fully implemented, these measures will amount to €3.2 billion annually starting in 2026.
