Creditors in Athens for more bailout review talks
Greek government officials will restart direct talks with international creditors this week, as part of the third review of the country’s bailout program. The representatives of Greece’s lenders are expected to arrive in Athens on Tuesday and stay until 2 December.
Schaeuble: Greek “haircut” only if Greece leaves the Eurozone
German finance minister Wolfgang Schaeuble in a statement just before the upcoming Euroworking Group ruled out the possibility of a haircut of the Greek debt. He underscored that something like this would be a violation of the Lisbon Treaty. As he said, something like that could take place only if Greece was not inside the Eurozone.
Positive evaluation for FinMin's letter from Eurozone sources
Eurozone sources said on Wednesday they evaluated positively Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos' letter to the president of Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem and to ESM chief Klaus Regling.
