The need to achieve a close cooperation with the local government to achieve common goals was expressed by Fraport Greece CEO Alexander Zinell, during his visit to the city of Kavala, whose airport is among the 14 regional airports the company will lease and operate under a 40-year concession deal signed with Greece’s privatization agency HRADF. 

Frankfurt-based transport company Fraport, to manage 14 regional airports across Greece, presented a new airport charges system at Thessaloniki’s Macedonia Airport last week, which it said will become the company’s flagship.

Promoting Greece into a leading destination is at the top of Frankfurt-based transport group Fraport’s agenda after taking over the management of 14 regional airports across the country late last year, said its CEO Stefan Schulte.
