Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos asked for a clear-cut solution on the Greek debt on Wednesday, speaking at an Economist conference held in Frankfurt titled “A glimpse into Europe’s financial landscape-Greece: A comeback to the financial markets?” 

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed in a telephone contact that a solution to the Greek debt issue is necessary and feasible at the next Eurogroup meeting on May 22.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will not participate in the funding of Greece’s bailout program if there’s no “reliable strategy for the sustainability” of the country’s debt, the fund’s spokesman William Murray said on Thursday, during a regular press briefing.
