At the residence of the Japanese Ambassador in Athens, an event that went beyond the boundaries of a typical diplomatic reception took place yesterday, Thursday evening: the Greece-Japan Maritime Innovation Summit.

Minister of Tourism, Olga Kefalogianni, was the guest of honor at the reception hosted by the Embassy of Japan in Greece, on the occasion of the national holiday and the birthday of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday met his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida at the prime minister's residence in Tokyo, where they signed a Joint Statement of Strategic Cooperation between Greece and Japan.
