The strategic development and promotion of Greek tourism abroad was the main topic on the agenda of a meeting held between Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura and TUI Group’s Thomas Ellerbeck, on Monday in Athens. Mr Ellerbeck is a member of the Group Executive Committee of TUI Group and Group Corporate & External Affairs Director.

Adventure tourism is the next big thing, according to Greek Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura, who added that tapping into new markets will take Greece one step closer to achieving the goals set for the next year.

With the tourism season ready to take off, Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura expressed her optimism on Thursday, during the 24th annual general assembly of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE), adding that she expects a record year and sees international interest in Greece as a holiday destination growing.
