Ankara should be “more cautious when referring to Greece,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Tuesday, following claims from the Turkish Foreign Ministry over the weekend that Greek authorities have pushed back tens of thousands of migrants trying to cross the Aegean Sea into Europe this year.

Another three separate incidents were reported overnight involving the pickup, by the coast guard, of third country nationals attempting to reach Greek territory aboard flimsy craft, with a total of 116 irregular migrants and would-be asylum seekers located.

An unbelievable statement was made by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu during a press conference he gave with his German counterpart, Heiko Maas.
