Addressing Parliament on Friday, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis appealed to the opposition parties to work toward "some common positions and agreements based on the real facts," with the government, regarding what needs to be done to restore flood-stricken Thessaly. Mitsotakis was speaking during Prime Minister's Question Time, replying to a question tabled by 'Nea Aristera' parliamentary group leader Alexis Charitsis on the restitution of the victims of flooding in Thessaly as a result of Storm Daniel.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is to participate in the Special European Council taking place in Brussels on Thursday, where he will again support Greece's known position in favour of a comprehensive approach to the mid-term revision of the EU Multiannual Financial Framework, with a package deal that not only includes aid to Ukraine but also increased funds for migration and responding to natural disasters.

PM inaugurates Aktio-Amvrakia motorway

Inaugurating the new Aktio-Amvrakia motorway during a visit to Western Greece on Wednesday, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that the year 2024 will be notable, not for the start but for the completion of projects that have been under construction for some time. The road will be opened to traffic on the coming weekend.
