United States Secretary of State John Kerry stated his wishes for concrete and continuing developments in Cyprus this year.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has cautioned that Cypriot discussions between both sides have to be facilitated without any blackmail or intimidations, according to Cypriot Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides.

During his trip to Cyprus this week, United Nations Secretary General Special Adviser for Cyprus Espen Barth Eide stated that discussions between both sides of the island will be restarted shortly.
