A 24-hour strike is being held today in Greece, by a compilation of journalists' unions over a draft law that was brought to Parliament on Friday, according to reports.

Finance Minister Gikas Hardouvelis addressed the Greek Parliament today and stated his approval of the government's most current omnibus bill, which centers on a sequence of structural efforts that supports the nation's economic advancement.

Greek President Karolos Papoulias stated during a Parliamentary exhibit on democracy's commencement, "Today is a day of remembrance and great respect to those who fought, were imprisoned, were exiled so as to restore democracy in Greece. Today we honour all of them and is a shining example for all of us, that in times of crisis the flame of freedom and democratic institutions must prevail", as reported by ANA-MPA.
