Police in the city of Patras arrested on Sunday two people in connection to the death of a 32-year-old worker who was killed at the road construction site on the 194th klm of the Patras-Corinth national highway, in Achaea, on Saturday. 

Thousands of visitors and Carnival crews ignored the rain and enjoyed dancing and singing at the main parade on Sunday afternoon in the center of Patras, where the annual event has been held for the past 180 years. 

King Carnival, traditionally a grand, spectacular and satiric figure which opens the parade, was wearing a top hat, smoking a cigar and holding Greece's three bailout deals in his two hands.
