PPC postpones tendering for lignite units

The Public Power Corporation (PPC) announced that it is postponing the tendering deadline for the lignite units in Megalopoli and Florina to July 15.
PPC said the change of deadline was agreed upon with the government following Sunday night's announcement by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras that he intends to call for national elections after the results of yesterday's Europarliament and regional elections.
The deadline for this, second, tendering attempt was Tuesday (May 28).

PPC close to destruction

The PPC, the country's largest company, is a breath away from total collapse registering daily losses of 2.5 million euros and a total of 903 million for 2018. It is a time bomb threatening both the Greek banking system system and the Greek economy.
