The Lausanne Treaty is the cornerstone of Greek-Turkish relations, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said during joint statements with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday, after their meeting at the Maximos Mansion in Athens.

During the joint press conference of Greek PM Alexis Tsipras and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Maximos Hall both leaders focused on the bilateral issues concerning the two countries.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will visit Portugal on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of December to participate as an observer in the preparatory meeting of the Heads of State and of the leaders of the European Socialist Party ahead of the European Council in mid-December.
