Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is expected to sign a three-year agreement with Chinese officials to attract investment to Greece, during his visit to Beijing this month for the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) on May 14-15.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met on Thursday with Liu Qibao, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party, responsible for issues of culture as part of the events to mark the start of the Greece-China Year 2017.

In an opinion article published in the Wall Street Journal, Greek PM Alexis Tsipras called on the country’s creditors to stop blocking the return of economic growth in Greece.
