The picture is familiar in every corner of the country: garbage bags piling up on sidewalks, landfills at breaking point, and the slow—almost invisible—progress of recycling.

Thirty-four projects with a total budget of more than 160 million euros are approved by decision of the Minister of Environment and Energy, Kostas Skrekas. These projects are part of the action: "Treatment and purification of urban wastewater, environmentally sensitive settlements and modernization of facilities in selected cities" of the Recovery and Resilience Fund.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis referred to national policy on garbage management speaking at the "Hour of the Prime Minister" in the Greek parliament on Friday answering to Movement for Change (KINAL) MP Odysseas Konstantinopoulos on the garbage management on the Peloponnese.
