A six week deadline to reduce migration will be given to Greece by Germany, Austria, Belgium, Sweden and Denmark, at today's meeting of the EU Ministry of Interior on the issue, according to the Times of London.

Patras mayor Costas Peletidis declared on Saturday the official start of the Patras carnival urging the young people to not compromise and to claim what belongs to them.

Greece recorded a primary budget surplus of 2.270 billion euros in 2015, up from a surplus of 1.872 billion euros in 2014 but down from a revised budget target for a surplus of 3.257 billion, the Finance ministry said on Friday.
