If elections were held today in Greece, the parliament would include five parties, instead of seven today, according to a poll by Kappa Research conducted for newspaper Vima and published on Sunday.

The outcome of the political party leaders meeting was anticipated by the government which requested the meeting so that every political power takes on its responsibilities towards the people, government sources said on Sunday, commenting on Saturday’s marathon meeting.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in his address at the EU-Turkey summit welcomed the initiative for this meeting after 11 years and proposed the next meeting to be held on a Greek island.
