Greek police on Wednesday arrested a Cuban national suspected of stealing 71 artworks from the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana last year.

Members of the Greek anarchist group “Rubicon” entered the premises of the German ambassador’s residence on Wednesday evening to protest against the closure of EU borders to refugees, police said.

The city of Delphi will submit a bid to be named European Capital of Culture for 2021 with the slogan "Metamorfosis," the mayor of Delphi Thanassis Panagiotopoulos said on Wednesday at a special event held at the National History Museum in Athens.
