The Greek government on Wednesday decided to allow the country’s Super League matches to go ahead this weekend after last week’s postponement due to crowd violence.

Alternate Citizen Protection Minister Yiannis Panousis and the chief of the Hellenic Police asked for the resignation of officers following an order that passed around on Tuesday regarding the release of migrants from the detention centers, which caused an "uproar".
