Infrastructure and Transport Minister Christos Staikouras participated in a trilateral working meeting of Greece, Bulgaria and Romania held in the Bulgarian capital on Thursday.

According to Bulgarian media, a Greek skier was crushed by an avalanche in Bulgaria and lost his life.The avalanche hit the Bulgarian ski resort of Borovets, crushing a group of Greek skiers and snowboarders in its wake.

The Operating License for the Greek section of the Greece-Bulgaria Interconnector Pipeline (IGB) was signed, allowing it to start commercial operation from October 1, 2022. This is the last administrative step necessary for the pipeline to be legally put into operation in Greek territory.
