After 15 years, the advanced Syncrolift ship lifting system at ONEX’s Syros Shipyards has been reactivated, enhancing the maintenance, repair, retrofit and shipbuilding capabilities of floating vessels.
Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos on Wednesday said that 'made in Greece' must become the "ultimate success story" of the shipbuilding and ship repair industry, while addressing the anniversary event "700 ships - A vision" organised by ONEX at the Elefsina Shipyards.
An Athens first instance court on Thursday paved the way for the restructuring and reopening of the insolvent Elefsis Shipyards, west of Piraeus in western Attica prefecture, under a plan submitted by the ONEX group last November.
