Mitsotakis: Tariffs on olives, oil, feta cheese do not make sense

The message that “the government, even in these difficult times, guarantees that the national economy is ready to respond to the challenges by implementing the commitments to the citizens with truth and stability as allies and on the path to fiscal stability” was sent by Kyriakos Mitsotakis during his presentation at the meeting of the Government Council for Economic Policy (KYSOP).

PPC: Multinationals expressing interest in Western Macedonia data centre

The Public Power Company (PPC) management is in discussions with multinationals from the IT sector for participation in the large data centre that it is planning in Western Macedonia and the first signals are encouraging, due to the significant advantages of the region for this specific investment. The alliance with one or more investors for the implementation of the investment is expected to be finalised in 1-2 years, while all the projects planned by PPC in the former lignite mines are expected to be completed in 2030-2031.

How much will Trump's tariffs affect Greece?

Anxiety is intensifying in the Greek export community, following the new tariffs announced last night by Donald Trump, which include 20% on products originating from the EU. Although there was no explicit mention of Greece in the relevant announcements by the American president, the fact remains that targeting the European Union, which he accuses of unfair tariffs on American products, opens the door to problems that Greek products exported to the US will face.
