Poll: How Greeks see the Revolution of 1821

The image, the knowledge we have about the Revolution of 1821 comes to record the poll conducted on behalf of the Center for Liberal Studies - KEFIM. In particular, for the character and the protagonists of the Revolution, the role of the Great Powers, the benefit from the loans that the newly formed Greek state received, etc.

Harvard University and Tufts University organize conference on Greek Revolution

The George Seferis Chair of Modern Greek Studies, Harvard University, and the Karamanlis Chair of Hellenic and European Studies, The Fletcher School at Tufts University will co-sponsor a two-day international conference marking the 200th anniversary since the 1821 Greek war of independence, entitled "New Perspectives on the Greek Revolution". The online conference will take place on September 24-25, 2021.

The two hundred years of the beginning of the Greek State through the revolution of 1821 was celebrated with a military parade that this year was different. 

Period costumes, calvary units, the banners of the revolution were trooped before the President and the Prime Minister, as well as foreign dignitaries like Prince Charles, the PM of Russia, and the Minister of Defense of France.
