Government did not ask for consent without debate

The government has not asked for consent without a debate, government spokeswoman Olga Gerovassili said on Monday in an interview with Praktorio 104.9 FM.
She noted that the government has never declined its responsibilities and explained that the government's initiative was simply an "invitation to dialogue" on serious problems such as the refugee and pension issues.
"The opposition parties decided to destroy the discussion in advance and came to the political leaders' meeting on Saturday only because they had to and not because wanted to discuss," Gerovassili underlined.
She also noted that the government has managed to cut main pensions less than originally planned.
