Cretan man arrested for murder he committed a decade ago.

A 66-year-old man from Chania who had murdered a 76-year-old farmer in Apokoronas10 years ago was arrested by the Police in Attica.
The perpetrator, identified a year after the murder, had fled to Bulgaria, where he was hiding.
The crime was committed on January 31, 2012 in the area of Kavros and a year later, it was investigated by the authorities.
After diligent investigations, they discovered the identity of the perpetrator, who was then a 56-year-old resident of Chania.
An arrest warrant was issued against him, but he had escaped.
According to the autopsy the 76-year-old had received blows to the head and face.
However, according to the medical examiner Stamatis Belivanis, his death was due to a bullet, which penetrated the abdomen and stuck his spine.
This person is expected to be taken to Crete, in order to be brought to justice.
