Concerns about Turkey's stance in the event of a victory in the May 14 elections by Kemal Kilicdaroglu are confirmed by a provocative article in the Sozcu newspaper that echoes the views of the Kemalist party, whose leader is the opponent of Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the polls.
According to the opinion article published in the newspaper, Greece appears in the last 20 years "to have invaded 20 islands, among which Oinousses and Psara".
The article is accompanied by a photo of the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Nikos Hardalia, from Psara where he cut the ribbon for a small church.
The photo with which the Turkish newspaper Sozcu "clothed" the provocative article
"20 islands are under occupation, among them Oinousses and Psara. When Turkey was struggling with the earthquake, Greece was laying an undersea cable in Oinousses. Antipsara falls under the province of Smyrna. The Government (Erdogan) turned a blind eye and in the last 20 years these islands have been invaded," the Sozcu article says.
