Arrests were made in various areas of the urban grid, including Agios Georgios Square, Rotonda and areas around the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, of various services of the Thessaloniki Police Directorate, in the context of targeted surveillance, prevention and punitive action.

Twelve people were arrested on Monday afternoon after police stormed three squats in Exarcheia and Koukaki, detaining several individuals. 

Events are cascading concerning Golden Dawn as justice, in an unprecedented move, proceeded to arrests of top Golden Dawn members, including leader Nikos Mihaloliakos.
